Rockhill Apartment Complex
The Rockhill complex consists of 6 high rise buildings connected through an interior, multi-level parking garage.
After many years of usage, the concrete becomes delaminated. Our experienced work force is able to chip away the delaminated concrete, replace the reinforcing bars when necessary, and pour and place new concrete, thus rehabilitating and reinforcing the concrete slabs of the multi-level parking lot.
Rockhill - Solidifying Rock Face
The Rockhill complex is located near the mountain on Côte-des-Neiges in Montreal. The rock face was becoming ever more dangerous because loose material would fall off and could potentially injure passers-by nearly forty feet below. We were hired to solidify the rock face and to eliminate the risk of falling debris.
This project consisted of scaling the surface with a mechanical shovel, jack hammers and small tools. We then proceeded by drilling nearly 200 holes into the rock face. Each drilled hole was approximately five feet deep. We then installed rock bolts and steel anchors in the holes. Finally, we installed galvanised cables in order to attach a galvanised steel-linked cage.
Dezery Apartment Complex
This project consisted of the complete remodeling and renovation of 16 apartments. Situated in an up and coming district of Montreal, a private client had invested in this complex hoping that a facelift could turn this complex into a lucrative income property.
Water Filtration Plant
We were mandated to perform all necessary concrete repairs in the reservoir which is located 30 feet below ground level. Accessibility posed a distinct challenge, since the only possible access is through trapped doors measuring 3 feet x 3 feet.
Moreover, while working in the enclosed space, our team also had the mandate to build a new 16 inch thick concrete wall in order to separate the collected water from the river from the filtered drinking water. This new separating wall is 30 feet high and 80 feet long.
Delivering materials, tools, and supplies into the enclosed work space while ensuring the safety of all personnel was an interesting and challenging experience. Despite the complexity and magnitude of the project, A.G.L.P. was once again able to deliver on time and on budget.
STM
We are often mandated to perform concrete repairs in the Montreal subway stations. The stairs used to enter the stations are often delaminated after many years of use. Our experienced team is able to mobilize quickly, demolish and remove all delaminated material, form and pour the new concrete, and demobilize without disrupting the daily commute of STM customers too severely. Some of the subway stations we have worked in are: Peel, Square-Victoria, and Place-des-Arts just to name a few...
